Today is the 4th anniversary of the passing of Ven. Dr. K Sri Dhammananda, the former Chief Priest of the Sri Lankan Siyamupali Sect in Malaysia, and there will be commemoration events at the Brickfields temple in Kuala Lumpur for many days around this time.
There have probably been few people in recent times who have had such a good grasp of the teachings and the ability to translate them into terms that people can really understand.
This is a 23-minute documentary in three parts in which he talks about his life and work for the 50+ years he spent in Malaysia. It also features tributes from some of the prominent members of the Buddhist community.
